Air Exchange Monitoring


Assess current total air exchange rates for compliance with OSHA regulations and AIA Guidelines.

  1. Operation rooms
  2. PACU

  4. Central Sterile
  5. Others

Formaldehyde Vapor Monitoring


Aid in achieving and maintaining breathing zone levels which meet current OSHA guidelines and CAP recommendations for TWA, STEL, PPE and Plant & Equipment.

Possible locations:

  1. OR
    1. Sub-sterile Room
    2. Soiled Utility Room
    3. Labor and Delivery Soiled Utility Room
  2. Lab
    1. Gross Pathology Grossing Stations (multiple stations possible)
    2. Tissue processor
    3. wet tissue storage

Individual location possibilities:

Formaline and Xylene Monitoring


Determine airborne exposure concentration based on Short Term and Time Weighted Average to comply with OSHA guidelines and CAP recommendations for STEL and TWA

Possible locations in the Laboratory:

  1. Staining (auto or manual)
  2. Cover slipping (auto or manual)
  3. Tissue processor
  4. Frozen section or special stains
  5. Reclaimation (recycler)

Hydrogen Peroxide Vapor Monitoring


Determine the airborne exposure concentration based on an eight hour Time Weighted Average level to comply with OSHA guidelines and TWA

Glutaraldehyde Vapor Monitoring


Determine Peak Exposure Limit and compare to current OSHA guidelines
